Celebrate Blackfish Friday TOMORROW (Nov. 26th) with Skaana and Join Us for a Virtual Tour of the Royal BC Museum Exhibit: Orcas Our Shared Future (Friday, Dec. 3)
And don't miss our new epic interview with legendary ocean warrior, Paul Watson
Hi. I hope this finds you happy, well and - if you’re in BC like most of our team - staying dry and coping with the fallout from our recent and continuing storms and floods. And Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends.
There’s a lot going on in Skaana-land to be thankful for — so here’s what’s happening…
VIRTUAL VISIT TO THE ROYAL BC MUSEUM: FRIDAY, DEC. 3
Skaana is hosting a virtual visit to the Royal BC Museum’s epic orca exhibit: Orcas: Our Shared Future for our Patreon patrons, past guests, staff and volunteers. It’s normally about $25 to visit the Royal BC Museum to see this epic exhibit and you have to get to Victoria.
But you can join us on Friday, Dec. 3 at 4 PM PST for a tour and a Q&A by becoming a Patreon patron and helping us make Skaana happen. Here’s the link https://www.patreon.com/skaana. Our starting rate for this special offer is only three bucks - a lot less than the cost of museum admission :)
As the guest curator of this awesome exhibit, I’ve been leading virtual tours for guests of all ages - from everywhere - since the exhibit opened. Now I’m leading a tour for YOU of an acclaimed exhibit that is set to TOUR THE WORLD!
The exhibit’s stars include the skeleton of Rhapsody who has been reassembled for display; life-sized replicas of three other J-Pod orcas - Ruffles, Slick and Scarlet - some truly awesome art and so much more!
Your support for this event is helping us pay for hosting this event (as there are costs involved with making this happen) and, hopefully, also helping us pay to keep making Skaana episodes. But our goal here… a gift of thanks to the people who help us share stories about orcas, oceans and the people fighting to protect them.
And speaking of the people saving orcas and oceans…
